Ballinasloe U 17’s went to Westport on Sunday last and dug out a hard fought 17 v 7 victory. Ballinasloe dominated the early exchanges with big carries by Micheal O Neill and Francis Stewart and backed up by smart kicking by Brian Horkan. Tries from Nathan Cooley and Eoin Galvin and a conversion from Brian Horkan left the score at 12 v 0 at half time. The home team dug deep from the kick-off and were rewarded with a converted try mid way through the half. Ballinasloe again dug Dee and Micheal O Neill drove over for the decisive score with minutes to go. The game finished 17 v 7.

Next game Sunday 18th away to Corinthians and one more game after that at home v Buccaneers. Favourable results there will put us in contention for the playoffs.
