European Rugby Champions Cup play-offs

Connacht Rugby secure place in play-offs for 2015/16 Champions Cup

Following the conclusion of the league phase of the Guinness PRO12, EPCR can confirm that Connacht Rugby have qualified for the play-offs for the 2015/16 European Rugby Champions Cup.

Connacht, who are the highest-ranked club in the PRO12 not automatically qualified for next season’s Champions Cup, will play Gloucester Rugby in Match 1 of the play-offs at Kingsholm Stadium on Sunday, 24 May.

Gloucester qualified for the play-offs by winning the Challenge Cup earlier this month and were awarded home advantage for Match 1 following a draw carried out by the EPCR Board.

The winner of Match 1 will have home advantage against the seventh-ranked club in the Top 14 in Match 2 on Sunday, 31 May.

The winner of Match 2 will take the 20th place in next season’s Champions Cup.

Gloucester Rugby v Connacht Rugby

Match 2 – Sunday, 31 May
Winner of Match 1 v Top 14 (seventh-ranked club)
Winner of Match 1 will have home advantage 17.00
