Connacht Squad Update ahead of Cardiff game

It’s back to PRO12 action this week as Connacht welcome Cardiff Blues to Galway for the penultimate round of the league and the final home game of the season.

Following a week’s break from games, Pat Lam’s men are looking forward to taking on the Welsh side who sit just three points ahead of them in 8th place on the table.

In terms of squad availability, substitute hooker Dave Heffernan has returned to training after missing the last round against Munster with a hamstring injury. The 23-year-old who recently signed a contract extension to play at the Sportsground next season will be available for selection this week.

Backs Fionn Carr and Craig Ronaldson have also resumed full training and are available to the coaches ahead of the team announcement on Friday.

Meanwhile, Nathan White (calf), Tiernan O’Halloran (quad) and Paul O’Donohoe (back) remain unavailable.

Tickets for Saturday’s game v Cardiff Blues are available online from tickets.ie, the Connacht Rugby office and selected Centra and SuperValu stores province-wide.
