Linghams have been making chilli sauce since 1908 during the British Colonial era, Linghams was specifically aimed at the English palette to provide them with a unique, versatile, sweet and spicy sauce. The same secret recipe is used today and is derived from a secret blend of just 4 ingredients – red chilli, sugar, vinegar and salt. Popular with ‘celebrity’ chefs who have named checked the brand in recipes (Jamie Oliver, Mark Hix amongst others). The versatile sauce can be used as an accompaniment such as slathered on burgers or hotdogs, as a marinade for chops or as a dipping sauce for chicken wings or crudités.
