Despite having lost their first two games of the season and then not having played for 3 weeks, Bangor bounced back with an important 15-12 win at home against a tough Clogher Valley side.
Although forced through injury niggles to make some late changes to the starting line-up, Bangor fielded a strong side, and were hoping that history would repeat itself as this fixture last season resulted in an important win against the men from Fivemiletown. More importantly, with no points on the table after two home games, it was vital that this game would provide the platform from which to properly launch their league campaign. For Clogher Valley’s part, having lost narrowly to Portadown in their last game, they were looking to get back on track with another convincing win.
