Match updates from the weekend:

VRFC 35-10 Cavan
Seniors defeat Cavan again this year, having beaten them already in the league. VRFC overpowered Cavans scrums and made continuous ground making few mistakes in the line-outs also. Team work and fitness were evident on the day and effectively were the reasons for the stronger Virginia side. Virginia had fifteen great performers on the day but to the fore were Enda Brady, Liam GordAn and Garry Daly.

VRFC U17 10-29 Ballymena
A hard fought game, but unfortuantely it was not the outcome hoped for by the Virginia side. Training Mon and Wed Night on the Pitch at 7.30pm, to win as a team you have to train as a team.

VRFC U15s 29-14 Ballymena
Great team work and defense by the lads gave them the lead in this game, with also a lot of selfless play by some of the players. There was also an experimental U15s out to play scoring 3 tries. Well done to all involved!

VRFC U13s 12-5 Ballymena
A well deserved and hard fought win for the young virginians as they displayed some great off loading and quick runs. Great win and well done lads!

VRFC U9s – Balbriggan
Team 1: Scoring 4 tries, it was a great win. 4-0
Team 2: A harder test, however VRFC were still victorius win a 3-0 win.
Team 3: With all players playing this game, was a much tougher match and lost 2-1.
Training at the earlier time of 10am Sunday.
