Busy weekend with a lot of games played in Virginia Rfc.
Great win for our senior team who beat Derry on Saturday, final score Virginia 22 – 13 Derry.
Next game is against Monaghan away in the cup. All players are asked to attend training on wednesday and friday @ 8. All new players welcome also.
Our U8s, U9s and U10s travelled over to the Festival of Rugby in Mullingar on Saturday also.
U10s played Tullamore with an end result of a draw, 4 tries each. They then played Portlaoise, which was their best game with their tackling and defence second to none. This game also finished in a draw, 3 tries each. Finally they played Navan, again finishing with a draw, 1 all.
U9s had a successful blitz as well. First game was against Mullingar, which ended in a draw 2 all. Next they played Portlaoise 1, with a victory of 5-4 and also another victory over Portloaise 2, with final result VRFC 3-1 PRFC. Finally the team played Tullamore, with a final score of 2-2.
U8s also played on Saturday. First game vs Mullingar, with a win of 10-0 to VRFC. They then played Navan with a second victory of 7-1 to VRFC. Finally they played Edenderry with another great win of 7-1.
The club would also like to thank Mullingar RFC for their hospitality on the day.
