Virginia RfC U13s continued with their winning run with a 17-0 victory @ Letterkenny RFC.

Match updates from the weekend:
U15s 29-0 Carrickfergus RFC
A strong Virginia side showed no mercy on Saturday. Good team work and brilliant support play enabled Ronan Patterson, Charlie Reilly , Conor Farrelly, Conor McCugh and John Cooke. Well done to players and coaches, great result!

U17s 9-8 Carrickfergus RFC
In a hard fought game the Virginians gave a strong performance both individually and as a unit. Unfortunately, a late penalty awarded to Carrickfergus, left a 1 point difference in the final score. The team should be very proud of themselves as the result was not the one deserved going by the performance! Keep up the training lads! Mon + Wed @ 7.30pm

U13s 14-5 Carrickfergus RFC
The U13 had their toughest game yet against a strong Carrickfergus side. However the team played extremely well, dominating possession. They hope to keep up their winning streak against Letterkenny next Saturday.

U12s 12-5 Dundalk RFC
Virginia under 12s played another home game v Dundalk Sunday last. The match consisted of four 15 minutes. Virginia played solid from start to finish . From start to finish all 13 players played out of their skins. On Saturday next the 7th, 12 of the squad travel to RavenHill to play at halftime in the Ulster Heineken Cup game. Good luck lads!

U11s 4-4 Dundalk RFC
A hard fought game resulted in a draw for the final score. Some great tackling and powerful runs were evident on the day! A great improved performance by the team, keep it up!

U10s 4-3 Ardee RFC
The game proved to be a close affair with both teams evenly matched, there was plenty of mauling and tackling in the center of the field. Great defense and tackling was evident on the day, and the result ended in a win 4 tries to 3. Keep up the good work boys!

U8’s were at a Blitz in Navan on Sunday
The Virginia side of 16 were split into two teams, six games were played in total.
Virginia 7 – Dundalk 1
Virginia 4 – Ashbourne 1
Virginia 5 – Navan 3
Virginia 5 – Navan 2
Virginia 2 – North Meath 1
Virginia 3 – Ratoath 1
Well done to all of the Virginia team, they had some really tough games but managed to work together brilliantly to come out on top.

VRFC girls were lucky enough to get a training session from both Philip Doyle and Irish player Jenny Murphy. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all the girls who learned some new drills and skills from the pair. A sincere thank you to both Philip & Jenny for the giving of their time and expertise on this occasion.
