“UUJ Promoted in First Year Back”
Student Sport Ireland (in conjunction with the IRFU) confirmed this week that Abbey Sponsored UUJ RFC will be playing their rugby next season in Division 2 of the All Ireland SSI League.
This great news is fine reward for the Club who only returned to the Provincial league this season after the club had folded a number of years ago. UUJ were the top side in all four Groups scoring bonus point wins in all their matches.
This now means the University will field another side next season in the Provincial league giving the opportunity for students to play at either levels.

College Rugby is played midweek and does not interfere with those playing Club Rugby and is a great way to make new Rugby friends who you are probably playing against the following Saturday.
