Great result for UUC 2ndXV who beat a strong Ballymena 4’s side at home, 15 men crawled off the pitch and secured 2 more well earned points in the league! Coach Brett Campbell said ‘Guts. Commitment and Winning the game with outstanding defence, from which lead to scoring the winning try in the last 5 minutes of play, it felt good to win against a team up until today was an unbeaten team’ The two’s hope to take this momentum forward as their league is wide open and far from over.

Unfortunately the 3’s didn’t fair so well against a very well drilled Queens side, a disjointed warm up and a lack of discipline made it hard for the students, but positional changes in the second half saw the students dominate the last 20 mins and they finished on a high with a try from Sam Heatherington, Captain Richard Boyd said ‘Their is a great core of players and a fantastic bunch of lads here, we will regroup and examine our own game and strive to produce better on and off the pitch especially at training, we win as a team and lose as a team, its how we react to today that will make us better’
The 3’s slip to 3rd in the league, but also know their league is far from over and have eyes on success.
