After being defeated by Instonians this resurgent Ulster U20 side were very good indeed!
I don’t know how many times they stole ball from Hinch. The pace of their counter rucking was like lightning. Bodes well for next weeks games August 23 (mon) Ulster v Yorkshire 1.00pm @ Campbell College & August 25 (weds) Ulster v Lancashire 1.00pm @ Campbell College.
InTouch will be covering these games.
This was the first game Hinch have played since last season. We caught up with John Dickson, Hinch Club Media officer, he said
“it was Hinch who dominated the early exchanges although did not capitalise. The Ulster U20s back row had a fantastic game and dominated the play, it is very positive for the Ulster side that they have such talent coming through, the front row and back row were excellent, and with Craig Gilroy and Luke Marshall returning Ulster will have a very competitive side. I thought David McGuigan had an excellent game.

It will be a very exciting Interprovincial Championship from an Ulster point view. Very obvious that Ulster were more cohesive than Hinch in all facets of the game.”
