The USRFR are proud to be supporting the charity ‘Headway’ in the forthcoming rugby season.
Referees will wear the logo on their shirt to help raise awareness and will also be donating the proceeds of the Annual collection day to the charity.
Regional co-ordinator Jonny Turnbull and Outreach Project Officer Jodie McGoldrick made presentations to the referees outlining the vital work that the charity does with people in the aftermath of devastating head injury and the efforts it makes in supporting those people and their families through very difficult times.
The USRFR are aware that rugby has had a spotlight on it in recent years directly linked to brain injury and are especially pleased to be supporting this charity with the hope being that player safety will never be too far from our minds and the minds of those who see the logo on our shirts.
