Johann Muller and Rory Best have been included in Ulster’s 25 man squad ahead of the RaboDirect PRO12 game against Scarlets on Sunday (kick off 4.00pm).
Ireland squad members Dan Tuohy, Iain Henderson, Luke Marshall, Craig Gilroy, Paddy Jackson and Darren Cave have also been named on the panel for the trip to Wales.
Captain Muller picked up a thumb injury in the Heineken Cup win over Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun last month but should play some part in Sunday’s fixture.
Best has been sidelined with a neck injury suffered against Dragons a month ago, but has recovered well could return to action earlier than expected.
Chris Henry and Ruan Pienaar have earned a week off after playing in all three November Internationals for Ireland and South Africa respectively, but both will return for the Heineken Cup round three game against Northampton on 7th December. Paddy Wallace, having played a lot of rugby in recent weeks, is also rested for the top-of-the-table clash.
Ulster’s superb unblemished start to the 2012/13 campaign continues apace with eleven straight wins in all competitions. The Ulstermen are attempting to complete a clean sweep of victories away from home to the Welsh regions this season.
Scarlets have won their last four games in the RaboDirect PRO12, whilst their only defeat in the tournament at Parc y Scarlets in their last 13 fixtures was 16-23 to Ospreys in September. No Irish province has won at the stadium since Leinster were the visitors in September 2011.
