If Ulster beat Cardiff next Friday night; they will face the team that finishes in fourth position in the RaboDirect PRO12 in a Play-Off at Ravenhill on Friday 10th May (kick off 19.45).
With Ulster just three points ahead of Leinster, and only four ahead of Glasgow, Mark Anscombe’s team must beat Cardiff to guarantee that they have a home Play-Off.
Failure to do so and they could be in the second Play-Off which will see the teams that finish in second and third position in the division face each other on Saturday 11th May (kick off 19.35)
