Johann Muller, Tom Court and Stephen Ferris are all in contention to play in Ulster’s Heineken Cup opener against Clermont Auvergne this weekend, despite picking up injuries in the win over Connacht on Saturday.
Muller left the field early in the 22-3 win after sustaining soft tissue damage to his forearm, while Ferris (ankle) and Court (knee) were also forced off early. All three players will receive continual treatment from the Ulster medical staff and a decision regarding their involvement in Saturday’s game will be made later in the week.
Luke Marshall (jaw) and Jerry Cronin (neck) are both a few weeks off a return to action.
