Ulster Northern Ireland Club Updates

All rugby clubs within the region of Northern Ireland will be permitted to return to non-contact training schedules from mid-November onwards. This change has been approved and fed back by the Rugby Committee and Ulster Branch Committee to the Rugby clubs involved. This return sees strict measures of non-contact regulations that will consistently be reviewed and updated in accordance to the NI Executive regulations.

Since the changes and updates, fans will be able to continue their support and love for gambling through major sites that cater to these sports predictions and odds. The most popular example includes the site www.Sportsbet.com.au, which continuously updates its fixtures and allows fans to participate in the In-Play betting opportunities.

As sourced directly from the RTE, the guidelines are as outlined for each player and team officials to follow through on religiously during the period of the epidemic, until further notice.

If any members of the rugby teams suddenly feel unwell or share any of the symptoms of the virus, they must not attend training sessions or be in contact with any of their team members. They must follow through on the preventive measures and isolation procedures.
Only 15 members at any given time will be able to participate in training sessions, rather than the entire team, coaches, parents, family members and fans attending to watch and support their teams. The sessions must continue in the most intimate and private consistency. For that reason, the coaches must reschedule multiple sessions to meet the 15-person demand.
An active and continuous risk assessment and safety plan must be run and shared consistently prior to each match and training session. Without the correct documentation, training will not be permitted nor allowed.

Every two weeks of the season, a review will be carried out to update and make changes as needed for the situation at hand. Of course, in event that the situation worsens, the guidelines will be changed to suit and also may cause cancellations and delays to continued matches. The Ulster Rugby and IRFU will continuously reflect and liaise with government officials to make sure that their players are in a safe and secure playing environment.

Any other clubs within the Republic of Ireland, will be able to continue as normal, as they remain unaffected by the changes approached to Northern Ireland. The Republic of Ireland must continue as usual, abiding by the Level 5 restrictions that are in place already.

All teams will be reminded to Return to Contact protocols, in addition to the graded return that is needed to prevent injury and further risks induced by COVID transmissions. Should any team members show symptoms, they must isolate for at least 14 days, to prevent any transmission to other members of the team.

Other protocols by the IRFU for each player to follow, include the following procedures:
Personal hygiene must be adhered to, with the correct hand washing procedures to and from sessions of training and match days.
All travel in between sessions and journey’s home, must be done so alone without any mixing or socialising in between, unless with family members.
Ongoing health assessments such as COVID testing must repeatedly be undergone, to ensure that players are clear from the virus, to and from their work responsibilities.
Players and team members must download and use the COVID tracker app, to provide safety to themselves and others around them.
Continuously wear face masks throughout public outings, to and from work. Players are permitted to remove them when playing and training.
Keep travelling restrictions and minimise international travel to only when necessary/needed.
