Now in its 5th year the U16 XV Monaghan Rugby Schools Cup has been very successful in getting players out to Monaghan Rugby club as it gives them a chance to try out rugby. The cup was kindly sponserd by Cyrl Smyth of Monaghan credit union, the schools played challange games over the winter and then come together for the cup around April. Schools taking part were Ballybay college , Castleblaney college , StMacartans , Our Ladys Castleblaney and Monaghan Collegiate. St Mcatans beat Ballybay to win for a third year in a row. I am now working in primary schools and will keep (intouch).
