One of Ulster Tags most very talented players Kathryn Glover has been selected to represent GB in the WORLD transplant games later this year in Argentina. At the minute Kate is raising money for Transplant Sport UK. There is a wine tasting event being held Thu 5th March. Tickets are just £20 and this includes a light supper.
Kate has been selected to represent Team GB in swimming and tennis at the Games to be held in Mar Del Plata, Argentina from 23rd-30th August 2015. Held every two years, the World Transplant Games are one of the world’s largest international sporting events.
Kate received a kidney transplant from an Organ Donor in June 2009 after spending 4 years on dialysis. In addition to the physical sporting challenge, the World Transplant Games promote the benefits of organ transplantation and highlights the need for organ donation.
As part of her fundraising, she is having an evening at Direct Wine Shipments in Belfast. In addition to the wine tasting, there will also be a prize raffle and an auction (details to follow)
Tickets are £20 inc. some light nibbles (£10 per ticket goes directly to TSUK, and aiding my fundraising)
