Latest from Tir Chonaill 30th Aug…
Tir Chonaill Under 13s : Congratulations to this team on their first ever league game against Letterkenny last Saturday. Following a tough match and with Tir Chonaill missing a few regulars, Letterkenny ran out 24-19 winners. Hopefully we will soon be at full strength, and numbers continue to grow. The club are very proud of the progress of this team and look forward to many good days. The Under 13s will play Eniskillen this Saturday(15th) at Carrickfin at 11am, come and shout them on.

Under 15s : TC have been allocated Under 15 fixtures as well for this season, and Eniskillen are keen to come and play at this age on Saturday (15th). Please all players try to come down for this game which would follow the U13s game. The club really wants to get this age grade up and running, and hopefully with club CRO Shaun Doogan now in the schools, numbers will increase. Training for Under 13 and Under 15 is now on Tues night at 18.30.

Tir Chonaill Mini Blitz : All minis will travel to Letterkenny on Saturday for a blitz at 10am against the home team and Inishowen. The aim is to leave Supervalu Car Park at 8.45. Still early in the season and teams still settling, the Under 10s have big numbers and a great enthusiasm. Numbers also growing with the school visits, and hopefully many more to come . Have a great morning guys and girls, see you there!

TC Senior Rugby : The seniors last Saturday travelled to Coleraine to play UUC. Again the team was stripped of several players due to work commitments, weddings etc. Despite the students inflicting a 41-0 defeat on Tir Chonaill, there were positives to take from the game including a much improved scrum, and the game seen the debut of 2 new players, well done Fergus and Maurice. The sense of a team is growing, and the craic on the bus was 90. All involved believe that the first win is not far away. The seniors take a well earned rest this weekend, and will be helping and supporting our youth and mini teams.

Facilities : With the onset of the short evenings the club is endeavouring to provide good floodlighting for training, and we hope to have good news on fundraising next week, with the proceeds of the IRFU draw (still on sale till Sat and great prizes!) and a Quiz to be counted. The club welcomes all participation in these and also new sponsors are sought and welcome.
