Ballymoney played host to The Young Farmers associated Tag Rugby Heat and this hugely successful event proved very successful again with a 15-20 teams batling it out for a place in the finals day this Saturday at Bandridge RFC.
The Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) is an association of local clubs run by young people that welcomes members from all communities in the town, city and countryside.
YFCU has approx 2,500 members aged 12-25. There are currently over 50 active clubs in Northern Ireland.
Approximately 40 of the clubs have entered to compete in the now annual Young Farmers Tag Rugby tournament and this year we are covering the heats and finals.
Heat 2 was 27th July at Ballymoney RFC. The Finals are Saturday 31st July at Banbridge RFC.
We covered heat one and will be covering the finals across two sections, juniors and seniors.

Again a high standard which is making for an excellent finals day. there is nothing stopping any of these players getting involved in the game at youth level in any club, and they would be very welcome!
Well done to the Ulster Development Officers, staff at YFCU, and Northern Bank the official sponsors. We are looking forward to the finals this Saturday.
An extremely worthwhile tournament developing rugby and the enjoyment of sport.
