At the weekend “The Ulster 24” team of Rascal Coaches at Ballymena RFC received their embroidered shirts from one of their main sponsors; SD Sports (Embroidery Specialists). Denise and David Montgomery took time out to come down and join the Rascals and coaches at their Saturday morning training session to wish them good luck and present them with their event shirts.

The Ulster 24 is to take place over the 1st and 2nd April 2011 to raise money for Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby. The event which will benefit disadvantaged children right across Ulster will see a team of 6 Rascal coaches completing a lap of the main pitch at 24 rugby clubs from Coleraine to Ravenhill, Newry to Innishowen, Donegal to Ballymena, all in 24 hours.

In the run up to the big day the team will be conducting, a charity car wash on the 26th Feb, a charity grid W-J McBride signed rugby ball raffle on the 5th March both at Eaton Park and a bucket collection at the Tower Centre Ballymena on the 19th March.

The team would also like to thank their other main sponsors IFS Global Logistics, AWS Promotions and Signstik for their support to date.
