The place to be on a weekend in Belfast is the Garrick Bar. Every night is excellent and there is a great atmosphere. It’s one of those places that people love. If your dining we recommend you reserve a table because this food is great!
Maybe it’s the relaxed atmosphere, maybe its the people who go there, probably it’s a mixture of everything, but one things for sure – there is always something on, great food, a range of beers and spirits to suit everyone.
When we had the opportunity to review it we were delighted! We arrived on an early Friday evening about 6.30 and it was thronged with people, an after work Friday evening feeling was in the air and the atmosphere was excellent, so if you work in Belfast city centre and fancy a pint after work on a Friday, The Garrick is the place to be.
Traditional Music Night every Friday From 5pm (Free Spicy Chicken Wings and Sausages Served On The House). Fortunately our table was reserved and we were greeted by friendly staff who gave us menus and took a drink order. The atmosphere made us relax immediately and we started talking about the up coming Ulster fixtures.
The menus are clear and concise, with a mixture of traditional pub food and a few excellent additions.
For starters we had chicken wings, ginger and carrot soup, for mains we had Burger & Chips, what a burger – totally amazing, this was something else, in fact everything on the menu that we tried was totally amazing, we could not even attempt a desert we were so full.
The Garrick chef has a policy of making the freshest food and simple details like making their own chips, gravy and burgers in-house is perhaps why it is so good!
Totally blew us away – thoroughly recommend it.
