What a game! The Fermanagh Redskins v The Strangford Sharks was a joy to watch. Total end to end attacks and awesome defending from both sides made for an immense game of league.
The Sharks scored two tries in almost as many minutes at the start of the game. The Redskins saw all the optimism shattered on the try line before them. The question was, how would they react to this initial onslaught from the Sharks.

Well, the answer was a resounding NO! Again the players stood up and said we are not taking this and the fight back began. What followed was a very close game. It probably could have went either way and that is testament to the absolute grit and determination of the young and older players on both teams with the sheer will to win. A credit to themselves and their clubs and their League Teams and to the their players who could not make it on the day.
Ability and the will to win produced skillful rugby league.
The Fermanagh Redskins won in the end and were ecstatic. A fantastic game to watch and both teams were superb.
As always a joy to watch and cover both teams. Rugby league is an excellent format and provides a platform for many players to hone their crash ball skills and defending skills from the tackle. Both teams provide a regional side which allows this development of rugby to take place and we look forward to covering them moving forward.
