Hotly Tipped Nottingham Boxer Eyes British Middleweight Title
Promising Amateur Fighter Makes His Nottingham Arena Debut in British Title Fight in September.
Up-and-coming Nottingham boxer, Jack ‘The Machine’ Mantell, spoke today of his hopes for his British Middleweight title fight in September. Already European Boxing Federation (EBF) English Super Middleweight champion, Mantell told of his excitement to be making his Nottingham Motorpoint Arena debut on 29th September.
Mantell is being sponsored in his title fight by DSR Tax Claims, a dedicated firm of tax preparation experts based in Nottingham, who specialise in aiding clients to maximise their tax rebates and pride themselves on their high client satisfaction rates. Skrite App Launches to Let Users Leave Real-time Messages in the Sky with Augmented Reality

San Francisco (July 14, 2017) — Skrite, the first app empowering users to create their own AR by leaving virtual messages in the sky, launched today—giving users the opportunity to ‘own the sky’. It is the the first app to offer user-generated AR in a space historically dominated by coders and developers—everyday users can use the app to create their own messages and explore others in the sky around them.

Jain says, “This allows users to virtually own a piece of the sky, whether it be the airspace above their home, business, or any location that brings value to larger companies that can potentially use this space for advertising.”
To explore the sky around them, users simply need to tilt their phone upwards. They can then see the public Skrites people have left around them, or even the private Skrites their friends have left for them. But users don’t have to just explore the sky above where they’re standing. Skrite offers an ‘augmented reality teleportation’ experience. Users can connect with people throughout the world and see a 360 degree view of the city around them—including unique content created by individuals living in that city—creating a unique blend of augmented and virtual reality.

Call to revive car washing at home this summer
Survey reveals parents in Northern Ireland are missing out on time outside together

Nearly half of Northern Irish parents haven’t played outside with their child in two weeks, with 22% not having done so in over two months
A third of children have never washed a car
Parents in Northern Ireland are four times more likely to watch TV (44%) than play a game of sport (10%) with their child at the weekend, that’s the key finding of a survey by leading car care provider Armor All. Gardening is the least popular activity a parent would choose to do with their children, with just 10% doing the weeding together.
The survey also found that nearly half (42%) of Northern Irish parents haven’t spent time playing with their child outside in the past two weeks, with 22% not having done so in over four months.
In light of these results, Armor All is calling for the return of the family car wash as a great way of getting everybody outside and enjoying time together. Once a regular family pastime, the survey revealed that nearly a third (31%) of children today had never washed a car in their lives.
With just 22% of respondents to the survey claiming that they normally take their car to a professional car cleaning service and 12% stating they don’t wash their car at all, switching to car washing at home could make a significant difference to family life.
Paul Hough, sales and marketing controller at Armor All, said: “We know that today’s parents are busier than ever, and finding time to complete all your chores as well as spend time outdoors with your children is extremely tough.
“Our survey showed that 29% of parents said they don’t think they spend enough time with their children and 39% expressed that they could do more. This is why we think that combining both chores and outdoor activities by reinstating the family car wash could be the answer to getting us all spending more quality time together.
“One in five of those that we spoke to said they had fond memories of doing such an activity with their parents when they were younger, so what better way to help create lasting memories with our own children than helping to bring this retro ritual back.”

Derbyshire-based boxer Cory Bowler spoke today about his upcoming debut EBF fight and urged his supporters to get behind him and support him in his July fight at the Pryzm venue in Nottingham, following a sponsorship deal which he hopes will see him hit the big time. His previous fight, at Rollerworld in Derby, saw him win by knockout and he hopes to repeat his performance in his impending fight. Speaking about the importance of support, he stated that support from the crowd was “like the third man in the ring… it can make all the difference during tough times”.

The average Briton, earning £539 per week*, would have to work for 4,524 weeks or 87 years to earn the equivalent of £2,438,275, the average EPL wage, revealed new research by FootballSalaryGuide.com, an interactive website which collates earnings information from hundreds of top flight players, created by FreeBets.org.uk, a leading betting offers and tips website.
Those working in financial services sector, earning an average salary of £783 per week would still have to work for 56 years, while IT & communications workers must work an average of 71 years before matching a footballer’s annual wage.
Healthcare professionals such as doctors and nurses would have to work an average of 48 years, while education providers such as teachers and lecturers would need to work an average of 87 years.
Even female football players would have to work 70 years to earn the same as their male counterparts.
Trade and construction workers would need to serve 132 years or 6,864 weeks on site to earn an average EPL football’s annual salary.

TV personalities Stacey Solomon and Game of Thrones star Laura Pradelska joined thousands of women to take part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life today. The stars were accompanied by friends and cheered on by Celebs Go Dating expert Nadia Essex as they made their way around the leafy 5k course in London’s Hyde Park.
On crossing the finish line, Stacey Solomon said “The atmosphere at Race for Life today is so inspiring, it definitely made the 5k easier! It doesn’t matter if people are jogging, running or walking the route, just that they’re here, taking part to raise money for research to help beat cancer. For anyone who hasn’t signed up yet I’d say definitely give it a go – it’s a great way to get some exercise and raise money for Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking work.”

Face Yoga to Firm the Neck
There has been a lot of press lately about the phenomenon of ‘Tech Neck’. This is when the thin skin on the neck is pulled down by looking down at phones and laptops which causes lines on the neck. Taking a little time each day to do some simple Face Yoga techniques can strengthen the muscles of the neck and lift and smooth the skin.
One of Danielle’s favourites is Swan Neck: Begin looking straight ahead with your chin level. Turn your head to the right so that it is in line with your right shoulder and then tilt your head backwards. Hold 6-8 seconds. Return your head to forward position with chin level. Turn your head to the left, in line with your left shoulder. Tilt your head back and hold 6-8 seconds. Repeat 3 times.
