Week 2 -3 of my Canespro Fungal Nail 21 Day Challenge (anonymous contributor)
I spend long days training for the next big game and spend most of my time in trainers, even when not on the field, which may have contributed to my fungal nail infection. I have tried so many treatments, but have lost patience waiting months for them to work. I applied the ointment daily to soften the part of the nail I wanted gone, covering it in a plaster for the day, and then after my shower I used the white plastic tool supplied to gently remove the infected part of the nail. This is surprisingly pain free and only takes a few minutes. I noticed a clear difference in my nail within 7 days, the yellow colour had begun to fade and the nail was less brittle. I was determined to stick to the two to three weeks of treatment after my pharmacist mentioned that it would only work if I did the full course for 21 days straight.
I’m so glad I did. By day 14 the infected part of the nail was nearly all gone. I was surprised at the speed it worked and what’s even better was that it didn’t hurt at all. My pharmacist also mentioned that I should pick up an antifungal for when I had completed the treatment to kill any remaining fungus. One pack was enough to treat my one big toenail, so I would say to buy a couple packs if you need to treat more than just one nail.
I can happily say that my infection is now gone and the product does what is says on the tin, it works in 21 days, on the condition that you stick to it daily of course! Finally I was rid of my infection and I had a real sense of relief that I didn’t have to worry about it or hide my feet anymore. The results show, not in a graph but in a percentage progress bar motivating you forward so that you know exactly where you are at any given moment.

Millionaires Shortbread
Ingredients:
2 packets of Schär Viennese Biscuits
150g Butter
1x 379g can condensed milk
100g golden syrup
200g milk chocolate
Method
1. Melt butter, condensed milk and golden syrup together over a high heat, whisking constantly until it becomes thick and golden
2. Set aside for 5 minutes
3. Once thick, spread over one side of the Viennese Biscuit (whichever side you prefer) and place in the fridge to firmly set. Repeat until all the biscuits are gone.
4. Melt the chocolate either in the microwave or over a pan of boiling water and cover the set caramel.
5. Return to the fridge and leave for around 30 minutes or until the chocolate has set.

Ingredients

It can be very uncomfortable, painful, and make everyday tasks like writing or buttoning up a coat difficult. The most common symptoms are colour changes in the skin in response to cold, a numbness, tingling or pain, stinging or throbbing pain upon warming.
So what can you do if you suspect you may have Raynaud’s?
Spot the signs. Do your hands or feet often feel cold, more so than other people? In a Raynaud’s attack, the blood supply to the extremities (usually the fingers and toes) is interrupted in response to changes in temperature and emotional stress – leaving hands and feet with numbness or tingling, and fingers or toes turning white, blue and then red. Know your triggers. Keep a diary of when you experience flare ups. Logging attacks can help you recognise the triggers, and therefore control and reduce the risk, e.g. do they always occur when you’re particularly stressed or in an air-conditioned shop?
Keep warm. Layer up in thin clothes, avoid touching cold items or spending time in areas where temperatures fluctuate as even a slight change in temperature can cause an attack. Supermarkets are renowned for their low temperatures so try ordering online and asking a partner or friend to put the chilled and frozen items away
Avoid stressful situations as stress and anxiety can bring on an attack. Try doing some relaxation techniques if stress is a trigger
Lead a healthy lifestyle. Exercising boosts circulation, and if you’re outside on a cold day, keeping active will improve the blood flow to your hands and feet. Eat well – certain foods like ginger, garlic and spicy food are thought to help so try including these ingredients in your meals. Try to avoid caffeine and alcohol, and stop smoking – it damages blood circulation.

“We are an ordinary family creating natural leather care and skin care products for everyday life.
It all started in 2005 when we discovered that our then toddler had intolerances to a number of food groups and additives. Our daughter developed contact dermatitis from using liquid soap containing SLS at school so we formulated a SLS free liquid soap and a witch hazel cream for the dry skin on her hands. When it is market ready, this cream will also be perfect to help relieve the symptoms of eczema.
For over ten years we were making small leather goods such as theatre masks, leather bags and wallets. We needed a leather conditioner that didn’t darken leather, didn’t leave an oily residue and one that was completely natural. After a lot of research and trial and error we got it just right. Our leather balsam is ‘magic in a pot’ as one of our customers called it made with 100% natural, cosmetic grade ingredients.
In early 2015 we decided to start our new business offering all the natural products we had tried, tested and perfected over the years. One by one we are adding new products to our range as it takes a while to have each one tested and assessed. We work with registered chemists to ensure that our products meet all EU standards.
We are a family with ordinary everyday needs but with very high standards when it comes to what we eat and what we use on our body. We trust that our high standards will meet our customers’ expectations.
