Britain’s biggest ready-to-drink Protein and Nutrition brand helps you start the day right

For Goodness Shakes, the UK’s no. 1 RTD protein brand have launched a proper liquid breakfast with their new Protein & Oats shake range. With 45% of Brits skipping breakfast at least once a week[i], For Goodness Shakes Protein & Oats is a convenient ready to drink solution for people on the go. Unlike most breakfast drinks with milkshake flavours, Protein & Oats tastes like breakfast in a bottle; the Original tastes like porridge oats and a hint of honey whilst Banana & Golden Syrup delivers one of the nation’s favourite porridge toppings.

Alex Brooks, Managing Director says “Everyone knows breakfast is the most important meal of the day. With Protein & Oats we want to help you start the day strong. Each bottle is packed with 25g of Protein power, boosted with oats that release energy slowly and has no added sugar. The addition of NutriMIX®, a unique micronutrient blend combines to make the complete package, so you’ll be well nourished. It’ll also promote satiety so you don’t feel the urge to snack mid-morning”.

Designed to be the first protein shake of the day it’s got everything you need in the morning: 25g quality protein, slow-releasing energy from 20g finely ground oats, complex carbs and a vitamin and mineral mix to help nourish and fuel the body. At 475ml, it’s a proper breakfast portion, equivalent to a portion of porridge which has been boosted to 25g protein, so you don’t need to supplement your breakfast drink with anything else.

The on-the-go breakfast drink market is tipped to be worth over £100m by 2020[ii]. This reflects peoples’ more active, busy on-the-go lifestyles with a third of Brits now eating breakfast away from home at least once a week[iii]. Couple this with a greater awareness of good nutrition and diet, with people shunning added sugar Protein & Oats fits a rapidly growing consumer need. In a recent poll 46% of people said they preferred to exercise in the morning, meaning that Protein & Oats should really hit the spot. [iv]

Initially available nationwide in Tesco, Waitrose and Asda, more retailers will launch in late 2016/early 2017. RRSP is £2.49.

Each bottle delivers: 25g protein, 37.5g slow releasing carbohydrate, of which 23g are naturally occurring sugars from the oats and milk, 2g fibre and 296 calories; which is similar to a portion of porridge bar the protein. For example, Pret’s Proper Porridge 300g (without added extras) has 242 calories, 29.1g carbohydrate, 3.3g fibre, but only 9.6g protein.
