With four weeks of the rugby league season now complete we have been treated to another mouthwatering weekend of action with two nail biting draws in Leinster as well as another tense affair from Ulster.
The weeks action got under way in Ballymacaron Park where the Ballynahinch Rabbitohs beat the Ballynahinch Bunnies by 30-12 to register their second win of the season.
This was followed by a 66-30 victory for the Maiden City Broncos away to the Antrim Eels who suffered their first loss of the season. While the Belfast Bulldogs squeezed out a 30-28 win over the Strangford Sharks to round off Saturday’s action in Ulster.
In Leinster the Ballyfermot Bears continued their development by picking up their first ever league point after coming back from 24-6 down to draw 24-24 with the Tallaght Tigers in Markievicz Park.
Portarlington also registered an emphatic comeback when they grabbed a draw against the Dublin City Exiles with the final score being 34-34. This leaves the Wolverines top of the table in Leinster.
Ashbourne Stags pulled themselves into second place in the league with a stunning 82-24 win over the Clondalkin Crusaders in Corkagh Park.
In Munster the Treaty City Titans returned to winning ways with a 34-14 win over the Cork Bulls.
Next week sees a break in action in both Ulster and Munster as the two provinces do battle in the Inter-Provincial Championships. While in Leinster there is a full round of fixtures set to take place on Saturday.
