Round One See’s New Clubs Leave Their Mark
In Ulster two games took place when first the debuting Antrim Eels drew with the Ballynahinch Bunnies 32-32. Then the Fermanagh Redskins traveled to Portadown where they eased past the Portadown Pumas by 92-28.
Fixtures which were originally scheduled in Ulster will be re-sceduled for later in the season.

With the first week of fixtures just finished three new clubs left their mark on the Leinster League after Ashbourne Stags, Clondalkin Crusaders and Portarlington Wolverines all picked up wins on their league debut.
Clondalkin and Portarlington made the biggest marks after they picked up their victories on the road when first Clondalkin overcame last years Section 2 Champions Tallaght by 56-16. This was followed by Portarlington picking up a 44-22 win away to Athboy.
Ashbourne saw off a defiant Ballyfermot Bears in Ashbourne with that game ending up 54-12. This meant three new teams sit in the top half of the table in Leinster.
In Munster it was a case of the usual suspects when the Treaty City Titans got their All Ireland title defense off to the perfect start when the handed the West Coast Warriors a 30-18 victory in Limerick.
This was followed by the Cork Bulls starting their season off with a 44-12 win over the Galway Tribesmen in Cork. This win see’s the Bulls take top spot in Munster after Round 1.
