The Royal School, Armagh teams continued their unbeaten run of games by recording two victories when they played against two Edmonton Clansman teams on Tuesday 10th July. The 1st xv had a shaky start to their game but once they got into their stride there was little the very physical opposition could do to hinder them. With the backrow of Matthew Clarke, Thomas Johnston and Darren Morton winning the battles at the breakdown, Connor and Alistair Wright were able to manage the game well. The 1st xv ran out as impressive 83-0 winners.
The Royal School, Armagh 2nd xv was equally impressive in their performance when they ran in 53 unanswered points against their Edmonton opposition. John McDonagh, Toby McAlpine and Jonathan Morton were the stand out performers for this talented team.
The tour party will now move on to Calgary where they will play the final games of their tour against two Calgary Irish teams at Calgary Irish Athletics Grounds on Saturday 14th July. Coach, Kenny Hooks, will be hoping for a successful conclusion to the tour for his young charges in the course of these games.
