Both teams however slogged it out in a mud bath to provide a very entertaining display.
The visitors went on the attack right from the KO, but Ards defended well and soaked up the early pressure. It was Ards in fact who finally took the lead in the first half with a converted try after some great interplay between both backs and forwards.
Again from the KO Nenagh went straight on the offiensive but again Ards held them out and managed to clear their lines.
Nenagh however managed to capitalise on an Ards mistake to sneak in for a try in the right corner around half way through the half.
The rest of the match was played with shear determination from both sides with Ards finally comeing out on top.
The man of the match went to Michael Crieghton who was outstanding in defense putting in bone crunching tackles throughout the game.
