2nd XV progress to Semi Final
Saturday saw Ballymoney’s 2nd XV travel to Larne for the quarter final of the Crawford Cup. Even with their opposition struggling to find a win two leagues above in Junior 1, the men from ‘the Toon’ knew the outcome was far from a certainty.
With the weather providing a great opportunity for running rugby. Ballymoney started strongly, stretching the Larne defence, but failing to convert the pressure into points. Ballymoney Fourths secure resounding league victory over Coleraine

The JT Autos sponsored Ballymoney side, proudly dawning new shirts, presented pre-match by veteran fourths player, Jarvis Traynor, continued their excellent league form, scoring six tries with-out reply and grabbing maximum league points for the second time this season over their Coleraine neighbours.
Scrum half Stuart Nevin opened the scoring in the first half after cleverly spotting a gap in the Coleraine defence line. Winger Neil Johnston was next to touch down after some good work by the Ballymoney forwards.
