Virginia RFC Schools Blitz
Virginia RFC hosted their 3rd Annual Primary Schools Blitz on Friday 6th November, welcoming over 250 kids from 12 local schools to the club.
The event is the culmination of the work of club CCRO Jon Watt over the previous two months, where he has visited all the schools, introduced them to the game, and helped hone their skills.
As ever the day proved to be a great success, and even the sun shone in the end. Thanks must go to Marcella Doyle, David Henderson, Colin Murphy, Carl Sherriff, and Conor Walker for their catering and refereeing efforts on the day.
A big thank you too to Zoe Templeton from Ulster Rugby for her support, and the very generous sponsorship of McEvoys Supervalu in Virginia.
