Valley beat CIYMS 19-7 away
Clogher Valley kept alive their outside chance of challenging for the Qualifying League One title with a 19-7 victory over CIYMS at Belmont.
On a sunny afternoon the much changed Valley side, with several players missing, started brightly. The opening exchanges saw typically robust runs from Keys and McAleer. The Valley setpiece imposed itself early and only the sound of the referee’s whistle – Valley were penalised half a dozen times in the opening ten minutes – seemed to disrupt the team’s fluency.
