COOKSTOWN RFC END OF SEASON AWARDS
Cookstown RFC celebrated their historic Ravenhill Cup win on Saturday with a presentation night at the Glenavon Hotel. Organised fantastically by Owen Mallon, the players and their partners enjoyed a great evening and led by master of ceremonies Liam Currie the award winners on the night were:
Newcomer of the Year: Andrew Reid
Most Improved Player: Lee Hazelton
Clubman of the Year: Stephen Quinn
Player of the Year: Stephen McKenna
There was also a special memento presented to Kezzy Nugent for claiming the top try scorer for the 2nd year in a row and also to Stuart McCalmont for his help in the latter part of the season. Director of Rugby Liam Currie was also acknowledged for his outstanding efforts in leading the club to their first silverware in the 25th year of existence.
That now concludes the 2014/2015 season for Cookstown and the club would like to thank their generous sponsors without whom their success would not have been possible.
