Clogher/Armagh take a big scalp by beating Virgina
The fortress of ladies rugby at U18 level has been breeched. Virgina, who have ruled the roost for several years in ladies U18 rugby finally got knocked off their perch. The combined Clogher Valley and Armagh U18 ladies rugby beat Virgina 4 tries to 1 in a thrilling encounter. Virgina despite starting with the slope behind them, were under pressure from the ferocious Clogher/Armagh tackling. The home side didn’t get out of their own have for the first 10 minutes and it was mistakes from the visitors that gave them the opportunity to get into the Clogher/Armagh 22. In their first encounter into the danger zone the home side came away with 5 points, showing why this is one of the most formidable ladies teams in Ulster rugby at U18 level……….
