CIYMS 2nd XV welcomed Coleraine to Belmont on Saturday and lined up with a team that combined a blend of youth and experience.
CI looked dangerous with ball in hand and opened the scoring with a flowing move from right to left, Phil McVitty crossing out wide. The heavens opened as Pete McCausland added a tricky touchline conversion.
Soon after, a tight line from Ross Hackney saw him cross untouched. McCausland stepped up and surprising rattled the post from straight in front.
Coleraine were falling off tackles and a mid line break saw impressive second row Corey Jane stretch away for the score.
CI were dominating the set piece with a strong front row marching Coleraine backwards at will and Coleraine unable to gather their own line out ball.
