On a fine afternoon for running rugby, the Ballymoney 2nd XV took on Dungannon’s 3rd XV in front of a small crowd warming up for the Halloween Hoolie later that evening.
Without a win so far this season, but gaining credit for the style of play, the 2s were keen to set things right, and kick the season off properly with a good win.
And from the opening sequences, Ballymoney showed their intent – initially absorbing a good set of forward drives from the Dungannon forwards, before clearing their lines and setting up in the visitor’s half.
