As in the last few years, the referees will be asking all players and officials participating in their match to donate on the day.

The charity, Roberta’s Wish, raises funds to invest in the latest technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of Crohn’s Disease and Colitis.

The charity is named after Roberta Farr, herself a sufferer of Crohn’s, who, with her mother Jean, set up the fundraising group in 2002. Sadly, Roberta herself passed away in 2005 and so her mother and friends have continued the good work in her name.

The charity has been chosen by the President of the society, Jim Eastwood. He has chosen a charity that is based in his native Mid Ulster region and that symbolises hard work, community spirit and family ethos.

The USRFR hopes that all players and officials will be their usual generous selves this Saturday and that a handsome amount will be raised.
