SUTTONIANS 24 – 28 RAINEY O.B.
While they were well below their best,Rainey Old Boys were happy to make it ten wins from their last eleven AIL games and extend their winning run to seven games on the trot by beating Suttonians 28-24 at the J.J.Mc Dowell Memorial Park.
Rainey led 13-8 at half-time with two penalties and a conversion from full-back O’Connor and a try from centre Mc Clelland. They conceded a soft try to fall behind, but the craft of scrum-half Sciascia created tries for wing Campbell and second-row Boyle.A penalty and a conversion from O’Connor had them thinking about a fourth try,but in the end they were happy to settle for victory.

FORSTER CUP FINAL
Rainey O.B. 111’s pace in open play took them to a 24-8 victory over Dungannon 1V at Ravenhill. Some fine kicking from out-half Walls and tries from hooker O’Neill and centre Mc Bride gave them a 17-0 half-time lead.Dungannon had the better of it up front and with wind advantage reduced the deficit with a try and a penalty, but a late try from replacement scrum-half Smith helped ease Rainey nerves.
