Mini Rugby – Get Ready For The New Season!
The new season of Mini Rugby returns to Magherafelt at Rainey Old Boys’ Rugby Club on Friday 29th August at 6.30pm-7.30pm. Come along for an evening of fun and fitness to see if rugby might be for you!
Mini rugby is all about fun and coaching is for children in Primary 1 through to Year 8, boys and girls.
P1 players are introduced to different types of fun running and passing activities. P2 and P3 play TAG rugby, which is non-contact, designed to provide a fun and flexible route into rugby. From P4 onwards players are involved in contact rugby, and each year different skills are introduced to provide a carefully planned progression into youth rugby or other sports. Matches are played against other Clubs on Saturday mornings, and to date sixteen are organised for the new season.
