Rainey Old Boys Celebrate New Years Eve
The old rugby club on Garden Street in Magherafelt was famous for its NYE fancy dress parties so it was decided to try to bring back those famous old nights. The night itself was a great success, with a brilliant turnout and hopefully word will get out now that ROBRFC will be the place to be on NYE 2014! The prize for the best dressed on the night went to Kieran “Reeky” Donaghy who went to great lengths in painting himself green to become Shrek (some of this green paint may still be visible tomorrow when he packs down for the 2nds against Armagh in the Towns Cup). All attendees agreed that it was a fantastic night due in part to the great music being spun from DJ Brendan McGoldrick and nuns, hippies, gangsters, air hostesses, chefs, Johnny Cash, Jesus and Shrek himself all enjoyed the countdown to midnight and carnival atmosphere that ensued.
