Following the completion of round 9 of the RaboDirect PRO12 there is no change at the top of the table – Munster are still in pole position, four points clear of their nearest rivals, fellow Irish province, Leinster.

Leinster, Glasgow and Ulster all moved up one place in the table, at the expense of Ospreys who slipped out of the Play-Off zone altogether for the first time since the opening round.

The 26-all result in the game between Benetton Treviso and Cardiff Blues on Saturday was the third draw of the RaboDirect PRO12 season so far following on from the tie between Leinster and Ospreys in September and the Zebre v Scarlets draw in October.

Greig Laidlaw’s 23 points (5P, 4C) for Edinburgh Rugby in their bonus point win over Connacht at Murrayfield on Friday night saw him claim the most points in an individual game so far this season. The kicks also took his career tally over the 400 points mark in the competition.

Last season’s winners of the Specsavers Fairplay League, Ulster, are again keeping their good discipline as they are joint leaders, along with Ospreys, of this year’s Specsavers Fairplay table having accumulated just 4 yellow cards so far this season.

The RaboDirect PRO12 kicks back into action the weekend of 20th December.
