As the focus turns to Europe for the next couple of weeks, victories for Ulster and Scarlets last Friday night saw them retain their positions as the top two in the RaboDirect PRO12 table, closely followed into the Play-Off Zone by two of last year’s qualifiers, Glasgow Warriors and Leinster.

With just over a quarter of this season’s games played there have already been some notable landmarks:

Dan Biggar has broken the 800 points mark, he now sits 4thin all-time top points scorers list, his 24 points for Ospreys against Zebre in round 6 is the most points scored by an individual so far this season.

Tim Visser started the 2012/13 season with a bang scoring a hat-trick in Edinburgh’s opening game despite their loss to Munster. Visser has scored in every appearance he has made so far this campaign (he did not play in round 4) and has already touched down for 8 tries, over half way towards the season record of 14 that he himself holds. He lies second in the career tries table with 45 in the competition to date.

Ronan O’Gara is now second in the all-time career points kicking list taking over the spot from Felipe Contepomi.

Tommy Bowe is edging closer to the 50 try mark, he has now recorded 48 tries for Ulster and Ospreys in the tournament. It will be a race between himself and Edinburgh’s Tim Visser to see who will be the first to reach the landmark .

Connacht’s Michael Swift became the first player to rack up 150 appearances in the competition.
