Quins start U12s Youth Team.
As some of you might be aware the age grade structure for youth rugby has changed this year to U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s.
At Harlequins we will be focusing on fielding an U12s side for our current and new players as a bridge from minis into youth rugby for the coming season.
• U12s will play in accordance with the laws and regulations as outlined for Mini Stage 3.
• As U12s are aligned to Mini Rugby, players DO NOT require a schools release form.
• The aims of U12s rugby will be promoted as a priority by IRFU Ulster Branch and as such the branch will look to hosting specific festivals to promote U12s rugby early in the season.
• U12s will be aligned to the school year, and the date of eligibility will be the 1st July for the coming season. i.e U12 = YR8/6th Class.
