To a man, utterly superb open lightning paced rugby in attack and defence. One phrase sums it up ~ “The Basics”, ruck, pass, off load, line break, line break, line break, organised defence, commitment, hold the line, feed in, feed out. The basics laid the platform and the massive bursts of creative play, practising the line to take in training and play. But lets be realisitic, not every play led to a try or conversion, not every ruck was turned over, but the guys through hard work and the basics put themselves in a position again and again to execute the killer line and line break. Every single member of the team to a man worked relentlessly throughout the game and the new stand got christened in style, the crowd witnessed superb skill and we were left speechless at the end. This time @ home they scored the bonus point win. Hats off to the whole team and management! A joy to watch.
The defencive work is highlighted below by coach Paddy as period of defence before and after the break was critical. Check out the interviews below (Paddy Armstrong & Paul Karayiannis) ~ video highlights of the superb tries most of them & superb kicking. The team sheet is a very good one from the locks, full back with Ireland athletics level pace, centres, wings, props, hooker, flanker, back row, all of them!
Every man.
