When Did you Start Playing As Propp?
I started @ 7 years old as prop and No. 8.
How Did You Learn?
Without mentioning an awful lot of guys who have helped me a lot including just about every person I have ever played with or against, I will mention two names here at this stage – Jacques Benade & Richard Mackie.
Memorable Moments?
High Schools cup with the famous Dromore HS, we had just won it for the 7th time! In a row! The semi final was against Downshire who are good – it was a physical game.
What does it mean to prop?
I grew up watching Dromore RFC.
What is the role of Prop?
Hold up the scrum, lineouts, carrying ball.
What is it like?
The 1st scrum tells the tale. If they are soft or not, the objective is to provide a solid platform and take it from there hopefully!
Dark Arts?
Senior rugby is different to schools. Very different! Basically my objective is to get in underneath then.
Who is the biggest messer in Dromore RFC?
Without a doubt, it is Aaron Stewart, he never shuts up, an all round header lol.
