NON PRESCRIPTION LENSES:
We supply in category 3 BROWN or with additional RED MIRROR.
Both lenses include scratch resistant and Anti-Glare coatings.
Brown Lenses offer heightened contrast against the colour green, sharpening vision to help you see your ball land on the fairway (hopefully!) and assist reading the greens.
Brown tints also work well against the colour blue same helping you track the ball on them blue sky days.
Probably one of the lightest Wrap Sunglasses on the market combining extreme durability, comfort fit and superlative vision on bright or cloudy days.
DIGITAL WRAP PRESCRIPTION LENSES:
These start life as a large semi-finished ‘blank’, we then grind and polish down to your exact prescription powers and add desired tint and colour mirror, if required.
Options are more extensive, base colours in GREY / G-15 Green / Brown and six colour mirrors.
If you have particular sensitivity to bright light we would recommend ordering GREY base colour with added BLUE MIRROR or SILVER MIRROR
POLARIZED LENSES?
Our opinion is NOT to choose Polarized unless you plan to use them frequently outside of golf and it’s a type of lens you normally wear, this is just our opinion.
Polarized lenses are designed to cut out HORIZONTAL GLARE which is common from surfaces such as WATER, WET ROADS, SHINY METAL SURFACES etc. Golf courses do not typically present this sort of light in abundance. In addition Polarized lenses can affect depth perception, interfere with ball tracking and due to the special process, possibly cause eye strain during the golf swing.
All our lenses are coated with an anti-glare layer, this helps reduce the horizontal glare without being so aggressive compared to Polarized.
So, in general, with the quality of our tinting and reduced glare coating, we feel confident in this being sufficient.
We do however offer Polarization as an add-on as well as Transitions option ( photochromic ).
