Premier Inn’s Pillow Fight Club has surfaced as the hotel chain celebrates its new best-ever pillow
The first rule of Pillow Fight Club, is you do not talk about Pillow Fight Club… but recent events at Premier Inn has meant this rule needs to be momentarily ignored. The UK’s largest hotel chain is launching its ‘best ever’ pillow and has come up with a fun way to make use of its old pillows before they’re recycled.
As the new pillows are introduced across the companies’ 800 hotels, up to four hundred thousand leftover pillows are being used to launch Pillow Fight Clubs across the UK for children and adults to enjoy. The hotel chain has decided to have some fun with their leftover pillow stock and use it to inspire Brits to start their own Pillow Fight Clubs with events taking place in cities across the UK including London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Bristol are soon to be announced.
In a bid to prepare pillow fighters, the most famous scene from the Hollywood blockbuster, which celebrates its twentieth anniversary this Autumn, has been recreated in a bid to explain the eight simple rules of Pillow Fight Club. Leading the shot-for-shot remake is the clubs very own mini Tyler Durden a character famously immortalised by Brad Pitt in the cult classic movie.
For those looking for a new pillow to arm themselves with, pillow fighters can now purchase Premier Inn’s brand-new pillow range by logging on to www.premierinn.com/pillows where its famous Hypnos® bed is also available to purchase.
Sold in pairs and featuring a quilted cover protector for an extra-special layer of comfort, which is zipped at one end for easy care, the pillows are available in firm or soft versions to suit every sleeper. Made from blown hollow fiber, the pillows are lightweight and breathable, while clever design makes them easy to plump to perfection.
Sarah Simpson, Head of Product at Premier Inn said “Pillow fights are one of the few childhood ‘sports’ people can take through to adulthood and still be good at. Because of this, we thought Pillow Fight Club would be the perfect way to use leftover pillows before they’re recycled and bring families together to have some fun. With the launch of our new pillow in hotels and available to purchase online it seems like a perfect time to open up the club to Brits across the country and who knows just how many Pillow Fight Clubs will start to appear.”
