Lurgan receive first round bye.
The draw for the first round of the 2011 Powerade Towns’ Cup was made at Ulster Rugby headquarters on Tuesday evening, Writes Paddy Allen.
For Lurgan they will have to wait until January 29 for the second round after receiving a first round bye.
The tie of the round (which will be played on Saturday January 8th 2011) will be the all 2nd XV clash between Ballynahinch and Ballymena with the former having home advantage.
Lurgan’s neighbours Portadown face a tough trip to the west to take on Omagh while Dromore have home advantage against City of Derry 2nd XV and Dungannon face a tricky test at Coleraine.
Powerade Towns’ Cup 2011 First Round Draw: Dromore v City of Derry II; Coleraine v Dungannon II; Ballynahinch II v Ballymena II; Ards II v Enniskillen; Omagh v Portadown; Rainey OB II v Clogher Valley; Lisburn v Bangor.
Byes: Ballymoney, Armagh, Banbridge II, Larne, Carrick, Donaghadee, Lurgan, Limavady and Ballyclare.
