Portadown Panthers Learning Disability Tag Rugby Club. This is a non contact game for males and females aged 6+
The official launch of the new section will be on Sunday 22 September at 9.30.
Andrew Trimble (Ireland & Ulster wing) will attend. Also in attendance will be the Deputy Lord Mayor of Craigavon, Councillor Colin Mc Cusker, PRFC President Niall Collen, Goal Line Deputy Chairperson Lynn Irwin & Tim Craig the newly appointed Disability Inclusion Officer of the Ulster Branch (IRFU). The other highlight of the morning will be the visit of the Newforge Taggers,the first Tag Rugby Club formed for people with Learning Disabilities in Ireland.

Despite last week’s poor weather an enthusiastic band of players, parents & coaches enjoyed a fun packed hour of Rugby activities during the new section’s Taster event.

Following Sunday’s launch the Portadown Panthers section will meet every Saturday mornings at 9.30 & run alongside the already established strong Mini Rugby section which caters for 150 players aged 6 to 11. When training ends at 10.30 players & parents will be welcome in the Goal Line Youth Club where they will meet and mix with the Mini Rugby players and parents
